New to town? Welcome to Lexington! Lexington Church of Christ is conveniently located in a thriving community in the center of our state. Our town is home to every amenity you’d expect of a major metropolitan area, not to mention a spectacular 50,000 acre lake. We're also just a couple of hours from South Carolina's world-famous beaches and the serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Getting to either area is no problem. Three interstate highways intersect here — I-20, I-26 and I-77, with I-85 and I-95 just an hour's drive away.

More than 583,000 people call the Lexington/Columbia area their home, a number expected to increase to 650,000 by the year 2010, and to one million by 2025. According to the Census Bureau, 50.4% of the population here is male, 49.6% is female. The median age is 33 years.

We've included these local links for your convenience. If you have questions about our town, feel free to call the church office anytime (803-359-2002) for additional helpful information. You can also access more information on our town in the Community section of our website.

A Tip For Viewing Our Website
If you can see only a few lines of news at a time on this page, you need to increase the resolution of your computer screen. If it's set to 800 x 600 pixels per inch, you will be pleasantly surprised to see what you've been missing. Don't know how to change your resolution? Here's some help...

For Macs: Go to System Preferences, click on Displays, and select 1024 x 768 or higher.

For PCs: 'Right-click' anywhere on the desktop of your PC (but not on an icon) and select PROPERTIES from the pop-up menu. Next, select the SETTINGS tab in the resulting window, then select a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 (or higher). Then click APPLY. Voila! You will now be able to view a lot more information in your browser window. You can also increase the size of your window to see even more.

While 800 x 600 used to be the standard screen resoution, many of the major news websites today are designed to be viewed in a higher resolution mode. Even though our site was designed to be viewed at ALL resolutions, it looks best (especially this newsletter) when viewed at a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768.
